A good season for the team as a unit and this is epitomised by the fact that we now have 4 players who have competed in well over a hundred competitive games for Highfield since we set out on our journey and this will very quickly be turned into 6 early next season. Well done to all players for an exemplary disciplinery record this year which has resulted in many referees thanking us for the oppertunity to administrate our games. Home and Away. It is all about Fair Play and Respect and you lads have it in abundance. Many thanks to you all.

As a manager I am very proud of the fact that we have managed to keep the bulk of the squad together for such a long time and to do this we must as a club be doing something right.

Thankyou to everyone who has contributed to the smooth running of the team this season and a special thankyou to Tony Cheese who has the thankless task of collecting subs every week and also for pitch assembly and dismantling at every home game. Without the input from people such as Tony this small club would not survive

Thats it 4 the season lads. Another splendid effort yesterday regardless of the final score. Amazing that for the last ten minutes we had the league champions elect hanging on for dear life as we lay siege to their goalmouth. Having been 3 -2 up as well with only 15 minutes left I suppose we can feel a little dissapointed with the result but not the performance. Losing our keeper when it was 2 - 2 didnt exactly help matters but hey, the futures bright, the futures red, blue and white !!

And so, the 2009/10 season ends for the under 14s. A season that we can claim to be a success. A season in which we have been unlucky, but never the less a success. Played 10, won 9, drawn 0, lost 1, goal difference 52, points 27, runners up by a goal (not even a point) and gained promotion. From a squad that are now playing some of the best football since it was formed, well done to everyone. Thank you to all parents for your support, the same to our coaches Richard and Lloyd plus assistant manager Gregg for all your input and hard work. And for my part I can only say it has been a privilege to manage such a great outfit and I look forward to you gaining further achievements next season.

In a season which has carried so many ups and downs, you lads have never ceased to amaze me. Despite being absolutely nowhere near your best you managed to comprehensively defeat a strong Thanet side 4-1

If only your efforts had carried a little more fortune in the previous match against Herne Bay

Three games to go so lets roll up the sleeves and see who else we can upset this season.

Some performance yesterday lads. That was a very good Faversham side you beat there. Credit where it is due in as much as the match could of gone either way, but you all kept your cool and smashed in 5 from 5 penalties ( all that practice during the late summer finally paid off ;) )

A fascinating semi final now faces us against another very good side in Herne Bay but remember this, we have already beaten them once this season and so there is no reason why we cannot due it again.

Make no mistake here, we have taken another massive step forward this season and can now face these big clubs without any trepidation. Indeed, I would imagine that we are the one team that none of them want to play against.

Superb performance today guys. Tremendous all round effort especially with a number of you playing different
positions / roles. Looked a class outfit against what was last season a second division side and you were worthy of the points, bad luck on this occasion lads, remember, ITS NOT OVER YET.
